Founded in 2017, Honest Greens is a rapidly growing, technology enabled restaurant group with a mission to improve communities by making healthy living enjoyable, accessible, and affordable. Daily, throughout our 14 restaurants across Spain and Portugal, our hundreds of staff produce delicious food from products that are ethically sourced, organic whenever possible, unprocessed, and free of artificial preservatives, additives, or refined sugars. Over the coming years, we will be scaling our restaurant, geographical and digital footprint to ensure that our customers can interact with our brand wherever they are.
We are looking for a highly driven and hands on Head of HR to help us achieve our vision, and scale Honest Greens both nationally and internationally. We will be growing significantly in terms of business and organization in the coming years (currently >500 people), and HR will play a pivotal role in this expansion.
The perfect candidate is a team player, highly organized, a stellar communicator, and has experience scaling and retaining large teams. The candidate should have experience with leadership training and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and like to get your hands dirty. The position will lead an existing team of 3 and report into the CEO.
In this role you will:
- Support definition of global HR strategy, culture, employer branding and compensation/benefits programs
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, development and retention of top performers in all markets
- Partner with and build a strong relationship with the Leadership and be heavily involved with training, leadership and cultivating motivation to reduce turnover.
- Expand and further develop the structure and scope of the HR team across the company (e.g., talent acquisition, performance management and career paths, learning & leadership/talent development, organizational development, compensation and benefit, diversity and inclusion, etc.)
- Generate detailed reporting capabilities and monitor KPIs at every stage of our funnel
- Further develop HR policies to ensuring that fair employment practices are implemented
What you need to be successful:
- You have 10+ years of professional experience as an HR leader, preferably in hospitality / or in a fast-paced environment with large teams, in multiple geographies
- You have direct experience in shaping and delivering a people and org strategy, supporting fast organizational growth, strengthening and structuring the HR department
- Business mindset and tech savy, with great adaptability skills and a business-support attitude
- Strong leadership skills. You thrive by getting results through other people and you pride yourself on developing them
- Humble and positive mindset. Active listener, eager to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- You are an expert in your area, but you also have a deep understanding of the bigger company picture and of which role you and your team play in it
- Broad experience with Spanish labor laws and regulations (French and UK are a plus)
- Experience working in the hospitality industry (preferably restaurants) is a plus
- Fluent in Spanish and English. A third language highly valued
